have to admit he made a mistake because he did not make a mistake. The surge is a series of happenings and he admits that the increase in troops which was obviously needed helped. However, the surge has not achieved all of what it was supposed to so how could it be complete and a total success.

AB Stoddard saying he is in a corner and in trouble when he comes home and McCain confronts him, hell as Ronald Reagan Jr. said how can McCain question him when he doesn't know himself when the surge started.
