OK What in the world is going on here.
After watching this election season closely I have come to the conclusion that Obama has put some sort of Voodoo curse on his competitors. Its the only thing I can come up with. There is just no other way to explain the things that have happened this season.

Think back to when he was running against Clinton. Clinton had assembled the most high powered experienced political team ever seen, yet they turned into idiots when they ran against Obama. Weird things happened like airing an add that used a kid in it who was an obama supporter, or Geraldine Ferraro going bat shit crazy, or Clinton running into a broken coffee machine and getting all confused by it. Just weird stuff that all converged to help Obama win.

Now think about Mcsame i mean just in the last week or so Phill Gram has gone bat shit crazy(not that he wasn't before), Mcsame goes to lunch at a German sausage house the same day Obama gives a speech to 200k in Germany, on a day that he was supposed to be standing on an oil rig touting the greatness of more drilling he has to cancel because of an oil spill... I mean what are the chances?

There have just been an unbelievable amount of circumstances in this race adding up on Obamas side, to the point that it just defies the odds. I love the guy and all but WTF is he doing to these other campaigns!

1. Experience doesn't always work out so well
on paper the Esteemed Mr. Bush, had one of the most experienced foreign policy teams ever assembled (Cheney, Rummy, Powell and not so much Rice) and look where we are at now. It takes a little bit of judgement and perhaps a little less hubris as well and of course a bit of luck never hurts.

3. All this really means is there has been a shift in the general population away from
cynical manipulative politics back to the optimism and candor that we haven't seen since JFK...

Reagen true believers will claim that he was all about optimism but it was underlined with fear and loathing for the world outside our borders.

So Obama has caught lighting in a bottle. Let's hope the people in the Anchor chairs and the folks in the news departments finally catch on to what this really is; a realignment of the American political scene.

4. Even the Fates want change they can believe in.

Or it could be the electrolytes  Maybe the plants aren't craving it anymore.

5. How do you battle an enemy you cannot define?
I think that has been the extraordinarily difficult challenge Obama's opponents have faced.

Obama defies many traditional definitions - smart but grounded, liberal but traditional, polished but hip, etc.

These campaigns have gone into overdrive trying to slap labels on him but they haven't stuck.

The one label that will stick is "Black man". But if any of these campaigns go there, they will be labeled racist.

So far, only Hillary's campaign started to perhaps dance around the edges of these labels near the end.

Does McCain or the Republicans want to be known racists in their legacy? That's the question.

They are already seeing what their politics have cost them with the Latino community.

If they don't go there, I predict Obama will continue to defy their labels - to Obama's great benefit.

We've had a voodoo curse placed on us for so many years by the Worst President Ever.
THIS feels much better.:toast: Make mine a Heinekin.

8. I know you are being lighthearted, but why is your brain going there?
Why a voodoo curse? Because he's black? If we were to see this speculation anywhere in the media, we'd go crazy with the implied connection. Think about it, please.

15. Well, those who study energy and intention would say that it...
...has something to do with Obama's vision, combined with the critical mass of positive energy and intention focused on him as our agent of change.

"Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation)
there is one elementary truth,
the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans:
that the moment one definitely commits oneself,
then providence moves too.
All sorts of things occur to help one that would not otherwise have occurred.
A whole stream of events issue from the decision,
raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents
and meetings and material assistance
which no man would have dreamed would come his way."

~W. H Murray, in the journal of his Himalayan expedition, 1951

(At the risk of sounding too doo-doo, doo-doo for some.)
