I think Andrea Mitchell is filling in for Pat Buchanan
Buchanan was always talking about Obama not connecting with "Appalachia" and now Andrea Mitchell is constantly raising that question re: Obama's European trip: "How will this play with the voters in PA and OH-with the hard-working people who are more concerned about gas prices than our relationship with Europe?" :eyes:

1. As if thinking about nothing more than what they pay for gas has served them so well over the years
Piss off, Andrea.

2. Obama wants to reduce our dependency on oil--not just foreign oil, but oil.
If demand goes down they will be forced to drive the price down--otherwise those Saudi sheiks might find those imported Mercedes SUVs being repo'd if they are unable to sell us that sweet, sweet crude.

.....the MSM acts like we're idiots in PA and Oh.... I lived in Ohio for 15 years (and am there right now visiting) and I live in PA..... we do recognize a good thing when we see it. Just because we live in the mountains and hills doesn't mean we're dumb.....geez.

8. Rest assured, Obama will be dealing with issues like economics and other policies that
affect the average joe. He just had to get the "no good with foreign policy" meme out of the way first.

12. I know. First they ridicule him for not having any foreign policy cred, then when he goes and
has a perfect trip overseas, including press conferences and meetings, he's criticized for being overseas when our economy is suffering (as if there would've been any time when it WASN'T suffering). It's as if the MSM was waiting to pounce on him for any gaffe he made and he didn't make ANY, so they have to find SOMETHING to criticize him about.

9. Andrea Mitchell has got to put that sour puss to use
She's got to dig hard to find or manufacture something negative about Obama. Cracking a smile and looking cheerful and positive about something would probably do her in.

11. Obama can multi-task
We need a leader who can do both. The MSM seems to always frame things in its most simplistic black and white.

How about this: It's refreshing to have a candidate who not only can focus on the day to day realities of the hard working citizens of PA and OH but can also reach out to our allies and form alliances on global issues.

We'll never hear that from Andrea Mitchell.
