I was puzzled as to why Obama's increase was so much larger than McCain's decrease. I am guessing it is because McCain also promises to preserve the Bush tax cuts which are ALREADY saving the top 1% an average of $432,521.
Since, however, under current law they are set to expire, by promising to extend them, McCain really is promising very large cuts for the wealthy.
