DENVER - Republican presidential candidate John McCain, ridiculing Barack Obama for "the audacity of hopelessness" in his policies on Iraq, said Friday that the entire Middle East could have plunged into war had U.S. troops been withdrawn as his rival advocated.

2. He is sooo coming off as a jealous old man....
It's kinda like he's laughing at some joke no one else gets... If he really thinks people don't want change and don't want out of Iraq, then he doesn't get it and he's out of touch.

3. Is he speaking about his pathetic campaign?
If it wasn't for "reporters" like Andrea Mitchell propping him up, this would be over.

That, and the Faux-Hannity-Limbaugh Axis of Evil.

4. MCCAIN, WE LOST VIETNAM! GET OVER IT! STOP FIGHTING OLD WARS!
I seriously believe that McCain thinks that Iraq is a parralel to Vietnam, a war he believed we could have won if public opinion hadn't been so low.

12. Perfectly apt for McCane (sic)
Three things the World would be better if withered and blown away:

1) Freepers
2) Ranting AM Radio hate-mongers (Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage & Beck)
3) the media mindset plant that this election is close.

6. McSame's writers suck!
Not a single solitary original thought among them... nothing but amateurish, juvenile, faux "cutesy" word games and remixing of old themes or OTHER people's ideas.

Truly pathetic, but just right for BushCorp's brain-dead, hard-core 18%.

:eyes:

8. McCain rejects the audacity of self-determination of the Iraqi people
I see he mentions nothing about the fact that the overwhelming number of Iraqis want the U.S. out pronto.

11. oh god, wasn't that the name of a David Brooks article a while back?
The McCain camp is obsessed with the "audacity" and "hope" phrasing. Seriously, we should try and document the number of times that the McCain campaign, its ads, and surrogates have mentioned it.
