I first came upon this little "meme" earlier today while posting on another blog.

Another liberal confronted the charge by informing the wingnut that it was the Pentagon that forbade Obama from visiting the injured soldiers in Germany (Landstuhl, I think). Something about keeping politics out of the hospital :shrug:

While driving home from work this evening something told me to tune into Gasbag Hannity - and sure enough. He was ranting and raving and embellishing the slur by saying that Obama refused to visit the troops once the Pentagon prohibited the press from accompanying Obama to the hospital.

So, in Hannity's world, Obama was to be denied his much sought-after publicity and photo ops, so he chose to go exercising instead.

I used to listen to right wing radio every now and then and found all that it did was make me angry.

So now I need to take my medicine: 20 cc's of Fleetwood Mac. STAT!!

16. I posted earlier that this was a predictable spin on this.

Obama should have made a personal, solo trip to the hospital without lights or fan fare. Aside from innoculating him from this garbage, it would have been spread by word of mouth and have been appreciated by soldiers and families. Now it is fodder for right wingnuts.

visited military hospitals any other way. You seem to think he wanted to use the troops as a photo op--no, that's Republicans who do that. The DoD rules on campaigning (he is on the campaign part of his trip) just made it too difficult to visit with the staff and funding that he is using--let it fucking go.
