McCain's only hope for a VP that can rescue his candidacy

Any of the younger guys are just going to make him look older than dirt.

So McCain should just go completely off the wall and pick Eastwood.

If you can't run a serious campaign then you might as go all out and just pick a celebrity.

No one fits it better than Clint.

"What are you going to do about Bin Laden? I am going to let Eastwood take care of it."

McCain if your going to go down in flames you might as well have fun while you do it.

9. "eager beaver" is one of the most hilarious phrases we have in this country.
I laugh every time I see/hear it.

11. and I use it every time I see him - I think it is the most diminishing thing you can say
about a guy his age who still is so anxious for adult approval.

His backup VP choice could be Charlton Heston's rotting corpse, sans the gun we pried out of his cold dead hands.

13. Clint as Dirty Harry, and in character, has a chance to propel McCain to
victory.

They could run on a platform of ridding the nation of punks and outlaws.

And if he goes with Sarah Palin, he could very well bounce back.

21. Dirty Harry & Really Scary. Clint Eastwood on McCain's ticket.
I guess the GOP won't hesitate to go the Hollywod route when it suits them.

They scored big with Reagan and Schwartzenegger, for instance.

So I guess they could try it again.

Clint's rolling in praise, prestige, international affection, and likely a lot of money. I'm not sure he'd want to step out of that warm bathtub and join crazy John McCain on the campaign trail.

But it would be a headline, that's for sure.
