Ran into a republic today, who had said he was scared of Obama 2 months ago..
One of those bristling (no taxes whatsoever) republics who makes his living from taxpayer monies. He was talking about how everything is shutting down. "We need change" he said. I told him I didn't think this country would make it 4 more years of what is going on. He said "we have got to stop this war." I said "it is bankrupting us". I told him I was going to vote for Obama; he would be a good president. He gave me that red-state, I am changing but not quite buying it look. I said "I don't care if he is purple, I'm voting for him." He nodded seriously. See, the red state, no-taxes republics are concerned about the economy, and do not give 2 hoots about the war. What is McSame talking about endlessly? The war. He aint gonna get more than 18% of the votes. My opinion.

2. McCain will also get most of the
fundamentalist vote. I was talking with a woman who said to me: "Obama isn't for life. Its about the babies.." I cut her off and told her I wasn't willing to have that conversation. One issue. The world is going to hell, but for many people it is about the babies.

3. She would rather adopt a dog than adopt a baby....
ask her the next time. They make these claims but they don't want to support the unwanted children. Its the every sperm is sacred mentality.

4. I would have told her the babies are gonna suffer and die in the...
up-coming "over-heating, climate-changing, food-decaying" decades ahead, so what's the point of even "making" them to begin with if you're gonna vote for John McCain, who will sure do JACK SHIT about this very serious problem?

Like "If you vote for the republics, you'll be an accomplice of the upcoming atrocity." or something like that...

6. The Iraqis have babies, too. Our soldiers used to be babies.

Women have abortions when they are poor and desperate.

You fuck the economy, and you get more abortions.

Under Obama, abortion would be legal but less frequent.

Under McCain, there would be more abortions-- whether it's legal or not.

Under Conservative and Republican governments, abortion and suicide always go up.

7. I know some of those insane people too
:banghead:

So the babies are born to die in useless imperial wars 20 years later. These idiots will never get that. They don't care if the Bill of Rights is cancelled or if their kids die in useless wars, so long as every conceived fetus is born.

9. tell her this:
Legal abortion is not going to go away. Ever. Even if they elect Repub after Repub, and finally the Supreme Court throws out Roe v. Wade. Because then the decision goes back to the states, and the states are not going to make it illegal--not the majority of them. Maybe one or two. But legal abortion is here to stay, no matter how hard the GOP pushes that wedge issue promising to do away with it.

Better to concern herself with the babies who are already here--their healthcare, their education, their security.

8. Obama has 19 pts on McCain when it comes to the economy.
When Obama returns from his spectacular overseas trip, I predict he is going to get into the weeds on the economy, saddle it, and ride it home.
