Buh bye Debra: Wisconsin Democrats Oust Delegate
Wisconsin Democrats on Friday ousted a delegate to their national convention for saying she would vote for Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain in November.

Embarrassed by a defection in their ranks, the Wisconsin Democratic Party's administrative committee voted 23-0 to strip Debra Bartoshevich of her status as a delegate to the Denver convention next month.

Bartoshevich was elected by party activists as a pledged delegate for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton from the 1st Congressional District in southeastern Wisconsin. But after Clinton dropped out of the race, Bartoshevich told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel she would support McCain over Democratic Sen. Barack Obama.

3. It's just awful that she would do that. And you KNOW it won't be long before they start blaming HRC
for this woman.

4. I don't take any glee in this.
It's disturbing that ANYONE, no matter how small a minority, would find our candidate so unacceptable who agree with our party strongly enough to become a delegate.

I wonder if a simple phone call from Sen. Clinton could have avoided this embarrassment to our party.

6. I'm not sure if I take glee in it or not - no, I guess I am just very happy that she--
was not allowed to take her private bullshit agenda to the convention on my time (I consider the PARTY convention to be my time, as a member of the party.)

19. Just because the story says it's an "embarassment" doesn't
mean it has to be..why should Dems be embarrassed when the problem is clearly with the fucking bartoshevich?

No one can be held accountable 'cause someone else is stupid.

8. Wisconsin Democrats oust convention delegate for McCain support (JS)

Madison - ...

Bartoshevich told party leaders it was an “emotional time” for her when her preferred candidate, Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton, conceded and threw her support to Obama in mid-June.

At the time, Bartoshevich told a Journal Sentinel reporter she would vote for McCain instead of Obama — a comment that surprised party leaders and delegates to the state Democratic Party convention, who passed a resolution asking that she be ousted as a delegate to the national convention in Denver. National party officials told Wisconsin Democrats to decide the matter themselves, prompting Friday’s vote.

A nurse who lives in Waterford, Bartoshevich told party officials she had been “inspired” by Clinton’s run for the presidency, had donated to her campaign and had traveled to other states to organize others for the New York senator.

After the vote, Bartoshevich again said she planned to vote for McCain in November and that she was dropping out of the Democratic Party ...

12. Can we use those to whack her upside the head?
I've got a ton of hardcore Clinton delegates in my home precinct who are happy to be represented by Obama. Why can't Bartoshebitch get a fucking clue?

How about "fucking pissed off"?

Ol' bartoshevich is the one who needs the "embarassed" label.

21. Now, if the Democrats would apply the same logic to their own members of Congress
who consistently cross party lines to vote with Republicans- the party might actually look as though it stood for something positive, as opposed to being widely seen as simply the lesser of two evils.
