Poll question: How many people REALLY attended Obama's Berlin speech
I cannot believe it was ONLY 200,000, so here goes, everyone's take on it.

How many people do you think really attended the speech?

1. over half a milllion, maybe
I attended the March for Women's Lives in 2004 on the mall and the crowd was huge. At 1.15 million. The media reported it at 300,000 or more. From the looks of the crowd there for Obama, it had to be close to that.

3. I think the Booshies tried to limit the damage and ONLY let them claim 200,000
so as not to embarrass Gramps. Remember, that Government is Reich-wing and LIKES Booshe (I wonder what treaties Booshe REALLY showed Chancellor Angela Merkel.

2. I'm comfortable with the 200k estimate.
What pisses me off is when the U.S. media reports it as "tens of thousands".

I thought it had somehow got under the protective layer on my monitor, until I finally realized it was a damn graphic!

On edit: As for the original question: Normally, I'd double the "official" estimates and halve the "optimistic" ones. But in the rest of the world, it appears that the media are held to far higher standards than here. So I'll go with ~200,000. It's still very impressive, and as far as can be determined involved NO "Free Speech Zones"!

Use the mouse to squish blood-sucking bugs from my screen before they land on my arm and suck me dry.

10. Desperate measures call for desperate times
or something like that. I loved the cans falling and causing a ruckus. Perfect. And notice how quickly they were there to straighten it out. In a REAL store, those cans would ahve been kicked everywhere before anyone showed up to re-stack them.

I might go to that myself.

It's not often you see two zombies on the stage at the same time.

215,000, but it was more than that. I went with 400,000 - 500,000.
