Yesterday, I was e-mailed by a patient of mine who is an unabashed liberal, very very strong Hillary supporter who is still extremely upset by her loss, and a very honest, kind, insightful person.

The e-mail was the viral Obama-did-not-visit-the-troops attack. She intimated in her personal preface that clearly, this man was no better than her arch-enemy W. Incredulous, I e-mailed her immediately with some documentation as to what is going on here, and further commented that this kind of accusation is exactly what the RWers do, and that I was surprised that she fell for it, and that even if it were true, since when is this the most important issue at hand?

she must have been waiting for me, b/c within a couple minutes her anger was palpable - directed at Obama and those who voted for him, and of course, toward me, whom she assumed was a Primary supporter. I sent back some other stuff including some of the DU links and have not yet heard from her.

It's bad out there...she had once mentioned that she wasn't going to vote at the top of the ticket once Hill lost. She may have been searching for a reason to manifest this outburst...the final chapter here has yet to be written in her case and it's a long way to November.

that being said, we have to bring a 'gun' to this 'knife fight'.

Sorry, but she's looking for ammo to use against him, and is doing the r/w's dirty work. Maybe she has 'other' issues.

but my point is, we all have issues...this campaign is going to be very tricky for many of the obvious reasons.
