I can't support Obama any more--(LTTE text):
Edited on Sun Jul-27-08 06:23 PM by Jackpine Radical
McCain has been right all along on the Iraq war. He was right when he agreed with Don Rumsfeld that the war would be over in three months with few casualties, and the Iraqis, overjoyed at being freed from Saddam's rule, would be strewing flower petals before our troops as they entered Baghdad. We all remember that glorious victory.

McCain was right when he said that the war would cost us almost nothing because it could be financed with the proceeds of Iraqi oil.

McCain was right when he said that we must be prepared to stay in Iraq a hundred years, and he is now right when he tells us that we should withdraw in sixteen months.

McCain was right when he called for a modification in the Republican Platform to allow abortion in cases of incest and rape, or to save the life of the mother. He is also correct in the firm stance he has recently taken against abortion under any circumstances.

McCain was right to oppose privatizing Social Security. He is absolutely right to call for privatizing it.

McCain was right to support civil unions for gays. Thirty seconds later, he was right to oppose gay civil unions.

I have seen the error of my ways. I'm turning in all my Obama campaign materials. John McCain's the man for me!

1. Ha! Entertaining. Sadly, the media will never report on these contradictions.
Point well taken, though.

5. Betcha I get the letter printed.
I have an unbroken track record for things like this in the local papers, going back 6 or 7 years.

6. Oops--thanks.
That's one reason I always run these things past DU before committing to print.

13. Yeah, I know. I thought about it, but the best phrasing I could muster

was somewhat awkward, mostly because of the widespread waffle notion that what they're doing isn't really torture by some (tortured) definitions.

14. Humble suggestion
McCain was talking straight and not using tortured logic about treatment at Guantanamo.

Not very good, I know!

15. Well...you see my problem.
Anyway, I figured I had enough other stuff. And sadly, lots of people don't care about torture.

10. He also was right to hire strategists to help his Crew with the campaign
Together, they are giving Obama much to worry about.

They are giving Obama the Open Field to use Reason, Hope, Change, Passion, Benevolence, Sharing, Inclusiveness, etc while sticking to their guns with Might is Right...

The Might is Right format chosen by McCane is spot on....fugg the pen is better than bombs crowd,,,

way to go McCane...ya done it good...heck of a job.....
