Stephanopoulos Corners McCain On Timetables
Edited on Mon Jul-28-08 12:32 AM by dkf
During John McCain's interview today on ABC's This Week With George Stephanopoulos, McCain got noticeably flustered when he denied having called 16 months "a pretty good timetable" for leaving. McCain denied using the word "timetable," and insisted that any departure from Iraq would have to be based only on conditions -- though he wouldn't mind if withdrawal happened in two months, four months, six months or yesterday. Check it out:

on edit: If you haven't seen the video, its pretty hilarious and sadly pathetic. Gosh, I kinda feel sorry for him.

1. WOW.
He wants to hit George SO badly. You can tell. He's wound up and cranky as my uncle gets right before he storms out of the room.

Verrrrrry presidential, Johnny.

3. McCain uses the term "horizon"...
Edited on Mon Jul-28-08 01:51 AM by NYC_SKP
I must have heard it four times today.

It's a very lame way of denying ever having used the word "timeline" or "timetable" for withdrawal.

That's how it works, as pathetic as it is, this game of dishonesty in public life.

:patriot:

4. That was a great moment - also George S. correcting him - FORMER Pres. Putin
several times George S. was looking at McCain like he was thinking, man, are you lying, or crazy, or senile, or what?
