Why are they so jealous of Obama being able to draw such crowds
and I am not only talking American "news" but German as well.

Instead of being happy that a politician is bringing out 200.000 people in Berlin to listen to a political speech they are putting it in a negative way. Comparing him to Hitler, saying 200.000 people were "fawning" over him.

Also, it surprised me that the German government was against Obama speaking in front of the Brandenburg Gate. Damn, music bands played there. Tourists walk through the gate every day. It isn't like the Gate is a holy place or anything.
And then they complained about Obama speaking at the Victory Column. It sounded like they didn't want him to speak at all. Because they had to look in the mirror and had to recognize that they would never ever draw such a crowd.

It disgusts me.

1. Because, my darlin' MissHoneyChurch, Barack Obama is a
Democrat.

Period.

Nothing more sinister than that.

He is a Democrat.

And the powers that be in the world HATE Democrats.

It is to weep.

3. There ya go.
If fascist-ass GWB got a crowd like that you can best believe the "Hitler" comparisons would never escape their lips. Despite it being more reasonable to make the comparison.

7. I watched a German TV show about the speech this weekend
and they were saying that Obama spoke about topics McCain or * would speak about too ... but they would get "boo" calls and not clapping like Obama. It was really hard to watch.

31. If bush appeared before 200K - anywhere - there would be a riot.
Can you imagine? 200,000 citizens of the world directly confronting America's criminal "leader"?

I liked what Jon Stewart said about the Obama crowd in Berlin: "There's something wrong with their American flags - they're not burning!"

40. With reason.
You can't be the poster child for dismantling democracy without having to worry about your safety. He knew it from 1/20/2001, when he drove through the streets on the way to his inauguration in a closed car to avoid the eggs being thrown.

9. How dare he, huh?
How dare he "apply for the job as president" (as Obama put it so nicely at the Unity press conference yesterday) instead of saying "Yessir, thank you sir" to everything he accomplished.

2. Fear and desperation.
They have too much invested to just say, "Okay, we can't win this one." And since they don't have a candidate who can stand on his own merits, they have to resort to sleaze and spin. :hi:

8. But see, that's it. They're jealous.
If McCain wants to make this election all about how popular and athletic Obama is, well, I'm certainly not going to stand in his way.

"Popular" and "Athletic" are only negatives among the Georgetown Cocktail Weenie Set and the wingnuts they throw crumbs to.

15. The Bully Party(GOP) is insanely Jealous, Angry, and Vindictive
All are Classic signs of Bullyism, Abusers, and NPD people.

They vent their anger and frustrations with Blame, Distortions, and Lies...more signs of Bullies.

McWrong, in his quest for what now seems the Impossible Dream, lashes out with cow chips and spittle...a most counter productive combo..

Obama has broken the Glass ceiling and the Pubs cannot see straight.... blinded by denial/delusion....

Many Pubs are even thinking of the ejection button for the Mav....which he is not....Oh, the quandry...to dump or not to dump...?

18. You have to sell your soul to be the GOP Nominee
That much is a given. You gotta want it bad, and you gotta be willing to win it dirty.

This is not unfamiliar territory for McCain, by the way. He's making the Maverick ----> Bush III transition with the greatest of ease.

23. One criticism that always comes and is laughable is: "It's just political."
What a laugh! Everything a politician does is political. Everything. It's especially political to criticize a politician for being political. There may be something to criticize but it's not the fact that politics is political. When critics want to criticize without bothering to specify what it is they're criticizing, they just use this blanket statement, "It's just political."

It's like criticizing a baseball player for playing baseball. It's the stupidest argument possible and yet this phrase, "It's only political" is thrown around as if it has some magical meaning or relevance to whatever the topic at hand is. In actuality it could not be more meaningless.

32. Why? Because they can't
There is no German politician currently active (and precious few American politicians,
for that matter) who could generate that kind of excitement. Obama has the oratory skills
and the charisma. McCain would be boring while announcing he had single-handedly found a
universal cure for cancer, while Obama could bring a crowd to its feet reading his grocery
list. While that isn't enough for us, it drives the image-obsessed Republicans nuts, because
they see things in terms of TV soundbytes, and their man failed the first cast call.

with that comment. Yes, Obama could read the telephone book and people would cheer. It is amazing how fantastic he speaks. And it isn't only the way he speaks but also his speeches have substance.

It will be interesting to watch the coming discussions between Obama and McCain. We already know who will be winning that.

38. Bush's past trip to Berlin...

As many as 50,000 demonstrators marched through the middle of Berlin Tuesday in the first of a series of demonstrations and rallies planned for the next three days protesting the first ever visit to Germany by American President George Bush.

That is Bush with the big ears,it's from 2002, not...

And, don't forget the burning flags on that Bush trip.

Tens of thousands? 50,000? Looks more like 200,000.

...Populist Reforms.
Pictures of Hundreds of Thousands in the streets puts the LIE to the claims of "represenative" government.

Chavez drew crowds like this in Venezuela...and look what happened.....REAL Democracy.
Corporate Owned governments and their Propagandists (TV Media) FEAR real Democracy.
