What's your favorite McCain bonehead idea? |
|
I don't know, I'm kind of partial to his insane idea to kick Russia out of the G-8. I would say his wanting to redo Social Security would be a good one, but I don't think when McCain called it a disgrace a few weeks ago that he meant he was against it, I just think he didn't even know how it worked.
So yeah, I might go with kicking Russia out of the G-8, even people on his foreign policy staff try to say he doesn't want to do that it's so stupid. But McCain being McCain, well, he keeps bringing it up.

He inherited this meaningless "belief" from his troglodyte party.

Though it was just in that hideous lime green monster speech and not a concrete policy (that I am aware of), but it was definitely a WTF moment.

mccain didn't like Senator Webb's new and improved GI Bill because the GI's might actually WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT. That's taking care of the troops big john.
Don't know if thats my favorite but I'd certainly like to add it to the list.

when Webb's bill passed. And he threw a hissy fit over it and started waving the flag etc. Oh lord. If he supported the troops so much why does every major Vet's organization give him a poor rating on his voting record on issues related to the troops?

11. Taxing employer supplied health care as income |
|
Edited on Mon Jul-28-08 10:06 AM by JohnnyRingo
Though his campaign touts his tax cuts, this is a huge increase on the working class, and another union busting tactic by Republicans. He claims this tax increase will raise $3.7 trillion to be applied to rebates for those without health care. http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/News/NewsReleases/Read.aspx?guid=f8319887-1528-40aa-971a-402f7d1adb9e

Yeah, kicking a rising economic force out of an economic group while our economy is flailing, and they're raking in profits from oil and controlling more of the world market - clever! That's so insane, it just might work! Well, no, not really.

16. and what's more odd is we can't kick them out |
|
I don't know what gives him the idea that he can just do it. The G8 votes on consensus and none of the other countries would vote to boot them out, plus, according to the rules, Russia would actually have a vote too. It would likely be a 7-1 vote, or if McCain got lucky Great Britain might throw him a bone and make it 6-2. But there is just no way he could do it, it's mind bogglingly stupid either way.

18. Well yes, but you have to understand, look who he had to go against? |
|
The GOP primary group was about the saddest sorriest lot imaginable. Huckabee was the only one with a little pizzazz to him at all. And McCain was so stupid he still almost blew it by mismanaging his campaign over a year ago.
