Republicans STILL pushing Trickle-Down Economics!!
Edited on Mon Jul-28-08 01:39 PM by margotb822
WHY?????????????????????

Raising taxes on "the people who invest in the economy" will only give the federal gov't more money. It won't hurt investment. It's been proven TWICE (Reagan, W) that trickle down economic do not trickle down.

I swear, it's like we're living in some sort of warped dimension where reality does not apply. I'm seriously losing it with these people!

:wtf:

on edit: I know it's their "thing," but how are people still buying it?

2. Even if trickle-down works, it trickles-down to India and China now.

5. Yep. We have an economy that's based on consumers
It's time the pukes recognise that and give this BS up. Feed the consumer and the consumer feeds the economy. Feed the rich and they invest in Euro's and Chinese factories.

3. Trickle-down may work in a closed economy
but with the globilization of economies trickle-down has become trickle-out, the wealth that is supposed to flow down is instead flowing outside the economy.

9. Trickle Down Economics Have Nothing Whatsoever To Do With Stimulating The Economy
It has EVERYTHING to do with keeping the govt in debt in order to kill any new social spending a la Europe.

By and large, govt social spending works. It does keep people out of poverty. Just look at how SS has kept millions of elderly out of poverty. Look at Europe. They don't have any where near the poverty levels that we have here.
