MSM Flash Back - How Much of the Media On The Take? |
I came across this article discussing the Bush Administration's use of federal funds to spread its propaganda. I have not heard much about this recently, but it does make me wonder to what extent are members of the media on the take? http://www.csmonitor.com/2005/0217/p01s01-uspo.html

2. It Is Hard To Imagine That The GOP Suddenly Quit Bribing the Media |
In addition, the Libby trial exposed the extremely cozy relationship between Big Media and the GOP in which Big Media uncritically spread the Bush administration's talking points as the Bush Administration endeavored to attack the character of administration critics. Indeed, against this back drop, the ease with which Big Media repeated the lies regarding liberal media bias has to be regarded by suspicision. If anything, the Iraq war, the Libby trial, and the scandals surrounding GOP bribes to friendly journalists should have put the myth of a liberal media to bed. Yet, the so-called "liberal media" happily spreads this myth, then based on the cover provided by this myth, again attacks the Democratic candidate with much more aggression that it does John McCain whose lies are attributed to cute little senior moments.
