How much does the media know about the vp discussions w/in campaigns? |
|
Are the leaks or info they get -- about who is and isn't on the "short list," who has and hasn't been "vetted," etc. -- factually reliable? Or not?
I wish they'd SAY what they're guessing about and what they've heard about, and from whom.
What do you think they know vs. what they make up?

1. They probably know as much as the campaigns want |
|
them to know. Trial balloons and all.

They need to keep their ratings up, so they come out with total BS in order to do so. They also promote the person "they" want to see get the VP slot, or as in the case of some of the right wing radicals, the ones they "want" to be the VP that will do the most harm to the party they don't want to see take control.
I wouldn't buy into anything they are saying, they are just talking to keep people listening.

3. Probably nothing from the Obama campaign |
|
He runs a pretty tight ship and there are only 4-5 people in the behind the scenes debate (Axelrod, Kennedy, the other vetter person, and maybe Ploufe)
McCain's such a wild card any speculation would be silly because who knows what that crazy fucker will decide.
