Conservapedia thinks atheism is caused by moral depravity. No, I'm not kidding.
In regards to the causes of atheism, there are a number of reasonable explanations for atheism:

* Moral depravity: Moral depravity has been demonstrated in the atheist community through history and through studies. In addition, there is the historical matter of deceit being used in a major way to propagate atheism from the time of Charles Darwin onward. Also, Bible exegesis points to the moral depravity of atheists. Therefore, moral depravity is certainly one of the prime causes of atheism.

Do you think we can inhabit the same planet as these people?

I'm beginning to doubt we are the same species.

1. They need to feel superior to somebody.
Even if that somebody doesn't exist.

They're so insecure, that they are afraid of impoverished immigrants, people who hold different beliefs, people who look different, people who talk different, etc.

I mean, unless you're white, speak perfect English (without an accent from the northeast), you fit in. Otherwise, you're somehow a major threat.

So History is somehow distinct from 'studies'

The writer is either twelve years old or quit
school when he/she was twelve years old.

Either way it reads like a middle school term
paper in civics. My guess, Texas.

14. On second thought make that Eugene Oregon. Dumb fuckenest place I ever visited.

Breakfast at the Timber Topper was like a trip
to Lower Slobovia. All you can eat ribs, marshmallow
and green jelly salad for breakfast !!! Every
buffet abortion you could imagine including cold
deep fried sweet and sour pork, at 7:00 in the morning.

My GF and I headed out of there to Coos Bay with our
asses on fire in order to get some decent food by dinner.

Don't even talk to me about Portland. I was listening
to Kraftwerk and Orchestral Maneuvers so Portland was
definitely a pass.

I've met five year olds with a greater capacity for reason than that steaming pile of fundy-think. Yikes I say. YIKES!

10. There are neocons who are atheists
Talk about morally depraved, arrogant intellectuals. Neocons pretend to be Christians just like they pretend to be patriotic, to manipulate the drooling RW masses. And the RW masses who fall for it are so stupid they still can't figure out why Bush** & Cheney haven't delivered on an American theocracy.

There are good and bad actors in every belief/non-belief system. But the Right will never see that. They're too busy pigeon-holing everyone based on their own ignorant preconceptions to realize they're their own worst enemy.

12. Wow. I've often wondered what sort of twisted non-logic they call thought...
Now I know. And it's UGLY. That sentence barely even resembles a thought. I have farts that follow a more linear progression than that. Yikes.

was on meth and getting blown by a gay hooker while he typed it.

With the track record of repukes, you just know that is the case.

17. So true, morality has nothing to do with religion
There are many immoral Christians.

I'm a Christian and I get offended that so many try to make this connection.
