McCain has been a staunch propnent of no new taxes under any circumstances. He believes that no "facts on the ground" could ever warrant a tax increase. Recently he has said that "nothing is off the table," but he's given no indication that he will actually consider reality when forming his tax policy.
Why, then, can McCain just turn around and accuse Obama of being stubborn like W on the 16 month timetable? Even though Obama has repeatedly said it is dependent on conditions on the ground, McCain still uses this line of attack.
Why has no one called McCain on his hypocrisy? He is obviously the stubborn candidate who refuses to take in the facts, at home and abroad.

cut the military budget in half, and there'd be no need to raise taxes. and there'd be less temptation to use the "defence" department for imperialist agression.

When Obama stays flexible on an issue, he's "vague" or flip-flops or waffles or doesn't know where he stands.
When Obama is definite on an issue, he's stubborn, not realistic, shows poor judgment, doesn't understand.
But whatever McCain does, he's right. Why? Because he's McCain. In other words, for no reason whatsoever.
