Call to action: Operation Counter Spin....
On several threads the various media spins either covering for McCain or perpetuating downright lies or creating myths about him have been duly noted. I am proposing a two part action.

First, we need to contact our Democratic representatives/party leaders and demand that they make themselves available to provide information about Obama on these programs. They need to work for our candidate to present truth and to counter spin and lies. They need to be on the offensive and prepared on all points. Too few of them are visible. WE need to demand this of them.

Second, WE also need to get busy and call the media on their BS--selective use of polls, distorted questions, and general disregard for truth.

Activist Corp and DU citizens, let us get busy. We have many media outlets in all formats to contact.

1. Obama is a grown man and professional politician.
If he did not anticipate the firestorm he is facing then he went into the wrong business.

Obama should rise above the "silly season" by staying ahead of the press with detailed discussions of issues. No more "inspirational speeches" or grand photo ops. It's time for real substance in this campaign. He has to convince American people that he has great policies. Right now the camapaign has been focusing on likeability and looking presidential. It is time to focus solely on issues and policies. Make the voters love his positions, not just be impressed with his oratory.

2. I think he's already done that.
People just refuse to listen and repeat the primary-era talking point that he's an "empty suit".

3. What was the last issue oriented speech given by Obama?
And what were the specifics of the program that he has set forth?
