Part of me would LOVE it if Obama chose someone that was a total |
|
dark horse that the media never even considered. I would love to see the dumb looks on their faces when they realized they did not have a clue. I doubt it will happen but I would enjoy every moment of it if it did happen.

2. I personally think the names were leaked for a reason |
|
1. to distract from the real choose
2. to see the reaction, if they were actually picked.
My guess is he surprises and picks someone like Schweitzer or Ritter.
But if he wants an attack dog and safe pick, he had better go with Biden

3. I have a dark horse candidate for you. |
|
Dick Durbin. Why not 2 from IL? Experience, older, good reputation.

pres & VP cannot come from the same state. That's why Cheney "moved" to Wyoming.

I mean I can see the appeal, but I'd be just a little creeped out about too much newness if the dark horse wasn't time tested. If (s)he is time tested, then I think that would be OK.

10. Obama already IS the "dark horse" -- an unlikely candidate |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-29-08 04:18 PM by LSparkle
What he needs is someone HE trusts to give him good advice ... In a way, he needs someone more familiar on the ticket to "balance out" the fact he's so new to the national scene.

11. How about a dark horse who can ride a horse... |
|
Or someone who has lived on a real ranch and been a rancher. I think Schweitzer would stun the media and surprise those who are not tuned into politics... A politician who is intelligent but speaks in working class language..without intellectual BS double-talk.
