Why these VP choices?
Kathleen Sebelius --why?

She will not cause him to win Kansas. If he picks a woman and it is not Hillary Clinton, it will be a mistake.

Evan Bayh-- why?

I don't necessarily think he delivers Indiana in a General Election.

Too DLC as others have posted.

Tim Kaine -- why?

I don't care that they are friends. They can still be friends. Kaine gets you nothing. Obama will win Virginia without him.

Biden is the best of these four choices--I liked him for Prez.

I gotta say, though, that I would rather have Biden for Sec/State and Hillary for VP

If Obama were 20 points ahead, I wouldn't think he had to pick Hillary but he isn't 20 points ahead which I think makes her even more important.

1. Misdirection, distraction from the real choice. Playing with peoples' minds,
watching them get all bent out of shape, especially with choices who are Republicans. Liberals, especially, will swallow anything and scream about it and it does not have to be even remotely possible.

3. "Biden - Because nothing says 'change' like over 3 decades inside the Beltway!"
Obama wins Delaware with or without Biden (except we lose a senior Senator from Delaware with Biden on the ticket).

You are wrong to assume that Virginia or Missouri are "in the bag" with or without Kaine.

Plus, Biden is a walking gaffe-machine (a clean and articulate gaffe-machine, but nonetheless ....)

4. Using your logic... Obama wins Delaware without Biden....

That's the logic you're using against Kaine.

5. None of the four do anything at all for the ticket.
On Sibelius and Kaine, the media will sprint with any made up stories the rnc gives them because they are mostly unknown. Anyone could come out of the woodwork. Bayh is republican lite. Biden has tried before and it didn't work.

If the best we can do is select someone bland, then we are in trouble. DU and the like will light up like a rocket if Clinton is picked, so the best bet is still Wes Clark.

6. Folks, the Obama team has been boxed in by DECLINATION, INTREST-GROUP VETEOS,,, Not much left
Much the same as happenned to Kerry. He was forced into accepting the will of the "people".

8. I don't think that's true...
but regardless Obama is way too smart to fall for it. Kerry lost, remember?

7. Feingold brings no baggage, is loved by liberals and can reach across the aisle...
Until Obama announces his pick, I will hold out hope for the 1% chance that Obama will pick Feingold.
