Hillary sends out email via DSCC -- "Our commitment to Barack" --

Subject: Our commitment to Barack

Dear John,

The commitment you and I and thousands of others have made to helping Barack Obama win on November 4th means more than making sure he defeats John McCain.

A genuine 2008 victory also has to include putting an end to Republican obstructionism in the Senate.

The current GOP Senate minority has set an all-time record: using the filibuster more often than at any time in history. On more than 80 different occasions, they have blocked progress on ending the war, stymied efforts to rebuild our economy, impeded forward movement on health care, or stood in our way on a whole host of other issues.

In these last 100 days before the election, let's pour ourselves - each and every one of us, heart and soul - into electing Barack Obama and giving him a filibuster-proof Senate, ready, willing and able to create the authentic change America is yearning for.

To bring that sweeping change to our country, we have to help the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee raise $1,133,768 before July 31st. It will take the combined action of thousands of committed Democrats, and I'm asking you to be a part of this campaign.

There is only 1 day left before the deadline, and every gift - no matter how small - brings us ever closer to our objective. Act now, and your personal donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar. Even as little $10 makes a big difference when it has double the impact.

Here is our most immediate task: the step we have to take right now to keep our hopes for a filibuster-proof Senate is within reach.

The DSCC is deeply involved in 11 competitive Senate races in states across the country. That's twice as many pick-up opportunities as in 2006, and there are another 5 states on the horizon. That means that over the final 100 days of our drive to victory, we'll need to respond to twice as many attack ads, mobilize twice as many campaign volunteers, and make face-to-face contact with twice as many undecided voters. To succeed, we'll need help from a massive wave of Democratic activists. Even a small contribution - $10 or more - makes you part of our growing strength.

What you do now could set the stage for an enormous era of progress for our nation - progress that Barack Obama can lead us towards - and that a shrinking Republican minority in the Senate will be powerless to stop.

We may never have an opportunity like the one we have right in front of us over these next 100 days. Please, join the thousands of Democrats acting now to support the DSCC's final 100 days of effort in the closest Senate races in the nation.

Thanks for standing with us,

Hillary

1. Thanks Hill! Now will you please tell PUMA to STFU?!
I know, I know... she'll never do it and I should cut her a break. But damn those PUMA assholes!

I am genuinely glad to see her working hard to advance Barack and Senate Democratic candidates. We really need her and she is stepping up. I give her mad props. Thanks Sen. Clinton!

2. Oh shit, did she just say her commitment means more than
Obama defeats John McCain.
I am least to be surprised.

"A genuine 2008 victory". I'm leaving to get more beer.
