1. Yup
These ads are not being aired, or are barely being aired. The suckers in the media are reporting on ads, which makes no sense.

Kerry and Move-On figured this out in 2004.

20. M$M suckers?
I don't think so. This is a well coordinated effort from many fronts, just like 2004 and 2000.

2. I KNOW!!
Their "analysis" of his ad airs every freaking hour! Has anyone pointed this out besides bloggers and DUers?

Wait. I know the answer to that...

3. Hillary 3 am ad--only supposed to run in TX and OH because she was broke--
the media ran it until it got nationwide exposure and became a cliche.

4. They show the ad, say it's bullshit once or twice..
Then continue showing it over and over without comment.

Why? Other than the obvious reason.

8. Yes they do show the ads, BUT LOTS of voters don't watch cable
news or even main street news programs. I don't think it's as damaging as you think. I've also seen the Obama, MoveOn, VoteVets ads on TV too.

9. It was the same in 2004 ...
... when they ran the 'swiftboat' ads over, and over, and over ... for 'discussion purposes' only, of course.

10. Boy Aint That The Truth
I have yet to see it in battle ground state of CO - they are still running the "Obama is to blame for gas prices" ad. MSNBC runs it at least 6 times per hour.

12. Fox News Billion Dollar In-Kind Contribution - Shameless
Edited on Wed Jul-30-08 12:04 PM by Median Democrat
I watched Fox's analysis of the Wounded Troops ad, with Susan Estrich, Hannity and Huckabee reviewing the ad. There was no real analysis or truth checking. They just played and replayed the ad, and Susan Estrich just made some weird comments about Huckabee now working for Fox.

Whatever happened to Susan Estrich? She almost seemed like a POW making weird references suggesting they were all sell-outs. Check the transcript:

15. Problem is, the viewership of cable news shows
is extremely low.

I mean, doesn't even break a million people.

And most of the viewers have already made up their minds.

16. That's the way it's been for years. The key is, Obama needs to cut ads that DEMAND attention
they need to call McCain just enough that they warrant mention on news shows.

17. I was watching ESPN last night, watching a nice expose on
the Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees and I swear that awful McSame ad blaming Obama for high gas prices played at least 6 times while I watched. I turned off the cable "news" shows to escape the bullshit, but I still got the bullshit!! :puke::puke::puke:

19. David Gregory opened his show today introducing the "celeb" ad.
He "accidentally" aired the wrong mccain attack ad in its entirety. Admitting his error, he asked buchanan some questions then played the real ad he had referred to earlier. It was a two-fer!
