The GOP convention opens on Labor Day!
The traditional opening of the general campaign season. That's pretty late to have the convention. I'm sure Obama will want to be attending some Labor Day rallies and picnics and not forfeiting the day to McCain and company. It seems a strange day to start the convention. People will be just getting back from vacation or picnics and kids with their parents will be preparing (in many states) to going back to school the next day.

2. Cancel the picnics, BBQs, fishing trips, and golf games!!!
Let's all stay home and watch the GOP convention on the TEEVEEE... because McCain's acceptance speech will be a lot more fun!!!

:sarcasm:

4. Labor Day? Oh, the irony.
We should rename it this year to "No More Labor for You and Lower Wages Too!" Day.
