Which petroleum producer Senator McCain?
At a town hall meeting yesterday John McCain told the audience,

McLame:

“I just met with some petroleum producers in California, yesterday. And they say there is some oil that is readily accessible to them because they’re next to existing rigs that they could get a flow of oil within months, increased oil within months. So don’t listen to this when you hear it could take five years or ten years. And my friends we’ve got to do that

That would be nice. But the American Petroleum Institute begs to differ:

“Opening America’s coastal waters to oil drilling, as John McCain urged in an address Tuesday, is unlikely to provide Americans with more oil for at least seven to 10 years. That’s the estimate from the American Petroleum Institute, the oil industry trade group.” McClatchy Newspapers, 6/17/08

1. A very good question indeed; I can't wait for the m$m to ask him.
In the meantime, we are free to speculate all we want until he coughs up the answer!

ExxonMobil?
BP?
CITGO?
Petronas?
Halliburton?

I know they won't ever ask, of course, but I can always hope--and speculate like crazy in the meantime!

2. Yep, and they could get a good 100 barrels of oil a day out of those rigs! Just in time for Obama's
inauguration!
