wow... just saw the McCain 'Berlin' ad snippet....
Edited on Wed Jul-30-08 04:37 PM by npincus
what a juvenile, cynical piece of shit! If the electorate is really looking to elevate the discourse, this ad really craps on those "hopes". It seems like McCain is mocking the entire concept of hope and belittling all who might actually believe that better days are ahead... WOW, this ad is sure to drive down McCain's numbers. The only folks who are laughing are disciples already. The rest will be turned off and/or insulted.

Keep it coming, Asshole!

I'll post on this thread.

And, it will probably insult German-Americans.... they came off buffoonish. (if that's a word)

5. I saw it twice on MSNBC (three, actually....one a snippet) and once on
CNN. in one hour. not as ads, but as points of departure in which they ATTACKED Obama as being presumptuos

this ad replaces the Dissing the Troops ad

what's their next one going to be, complete with full M$M trumpteting?

WAIT! this just in: Barnicle is going to actually play an Obama ad about oil prices, an answer to McCain charges that HE's responsible for high gas prices

I saw the ad, and it's PATHETIC....wishy washy, weak; goes WAY too easy on McCain. if that's what their ad agencies are about, they should be FIRED

anybody see that thread with the Florida congressional candidate's ad? now THAT was an ad to be proud of. it got lots and lots of praise when it was linked here

12. I did....on gas prices, an answer to McCain's charge that Obama was
responsible for high gas prices

it was SUPER PATHETIC

simpering

weak

nothing like it could have been, like, oh, say STRONGLY linking Bush's energy policies with McCain's slavish support of most of Bush's terrible agenda

8. This Tucker Bounds guy is really pathetic.
Edited on Wed Jul-30-08 05:17 PM by ErinBerin84
remember when Obama joked (um...a while ago. I'm not sure why he's issuing this statement now, he apparently trying to transfer it over to their new "celebrity" theme...)at a fundraiser that it was going to get ugly people were going to "remind people that Obama has a 'funny name'...and did I mention he was black?". Tucker for some reason issued a response today.
edit: Ok, I guess it was in response to the Missouri speech today. Heh. That at least gives it some more context for me, but it's really funny to see McCain people claim that they aren't trying to make Obama's patriotism an issue.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0708/McCain_Obamas_hysteria_.html

"Staying very personal, the McCain campaign responds to Obama's suggestion that Republicans will attack his unusual name and his race:

"This is a typically superfluous response from Barack Obama. Like most celebrities, he reacts to fair criticism with a mix of fussiness and hysteria," says McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds, before trying to link the attack back to offshore drilling.
