Why can't the McCain campaign close the deal? |
|
That has to be the question of the day. He had a three month head start in the GE, while Obama was in the midst of a bruising primary that is just now really beginning to heal. McCain had his own world tour. Since he became the republico (I know, thats how I meant to spell it) nominee, he has had the 24/7 backing of the harpos and harpies of talk radio.
McCain has had many more years in the senate, more exposure on the national stage than Obama. And now, Obama has broken the 50% barrier in the polls (CNN).
Why can't McCain close the deal?
Could it be, the time for change is now, and the time is ours?
YES it is and YES we can ... GOBAMA!!!!

1. More importantly, why can't the McCain campaign even get the door open to a possible deal? |

and run in circles blowing air horns. Not to be nasty, but it is bush 3 without the swagger.

6. Breaking Story ... When asked today |
|
about these very questions McDuh was heard to say "Deal? What deal? ... I don't remember my position about a possible deal ... I'll have to get back to you later with that my friend".

7. That's not how Republicans work... |
|
They will slowly but surely and systematically tear down the candidate and mock him and his Gobama supporters until enough people in the region where the election turns (the rust belt this year) will be laughing all the way to the inauguration.
That's their MO- and it works.
If nothing effective is done to turn it around on them, there's no reason to believe it's not going to work again.

8. Oh, I am feeling pretty good this time about it.. |
|
You are right, it is their mo..but Obama and company seem to let them take out just enough rope, that when they give it hard jerk backwards the opposition chokes on their own words.
I have seen that happen so many times in this campaign. Maybe that comes from having to battle in that Chicago political system. They get very good at blow back. :)
