Oh the Humanity!! Prius Owners - Where Do You Put Your Magnets?
I donated to the Obama campaign in June and got my round Obama magnet today.

I pulled into the garage with my mail and hopped out to put the magnet on the back of my Prius immediately only to realize - d'OH! It's not magnetized on the trunk or rear bumper.

TRAGEDY!

Ideas? :-D

2. LOL
I think I would put it on my Republican boss's car (without his knowledge) before I would Superglue it. :)

3. I have the same problem with my old Saturn.
All the panels except for the hood, roof and trunk lid are plastic. I can't use magnetized stuff.

5. Yeah I guess that will have to do...
I just feel like no one will see it on the sides. :(

This is the first campaign or anything where I've ever felt compelled enough to label my car with a supportive emblem. I'm still not ballsy enough to do a sticker. I'm so disappointed. I was so ready to have my magnet on tomorrow and I even have told my boss that when we go to lunch he has to ride around in my "Obama" Prius.

Daaammit.

13. Yeah, I wanted to put my breast cancer ribbon magnet on the back too.
But I have had people ask me where I got my ribbon. So maybe they don't see them very well while driving, but they will see them in parking lots, etc.

6. Just a suggestion
I don't have this problem since my car is so old it was made in West Germany, but have you thought about putting a magnet on the inside of your bumper, and then sticking the sticker on the outside of the bumper, each magnet holding the other on? You could probably super glue the inner magnet if you were worried about them both falling.

7. Put metal or matching magnets inside the trunk
The magnetic feild of matching magnets might be enough to hold it in place

14. it looks much like my avatar
They had a link you could go to and donate and in return they would send the magnet. I don't know that they sell it on the site, but it's the Obama "O" logo with the stars and stripes in it. I like it a lot.

12. The magnet idea won't work...
...unless you're willing to glue or otherwise fasten the magnets inside your trunk.

While you could get a magnet that's strong enough to hold your bumper magnet in place, the bumper magnet pull would not be strong enough to keep the inside magnet in place.

The other problem is that we've seen Obama banners being defiled or taken down.

Another thing you might consider trying is the 3M removable poster strips (tape) that are made not to damage paint. I'm not sure they're made with car paint in mind, but even if they get sunbaked, I think the most you'd need to do is use a little alcohol when removing them.

Here's a link, just for example purposes -- I've never bought from this supplier, and you can get these strips in most variety stores or large drugstores anyway:
