Rachel Maddow had an amazing "the press is racist" rant on her radio show today!
She was very clever and didn't use those words. She discussed the lies about the "uppity presumptuous arrogant black man" and then played the commercials where mcstupid called himself president mccain and talked about his second term. It was gold!!

1. the corporate republican media
"oh, the media loves Obama" was smoke and mirrors. I knew they'd pull all the stops after that, having adequate cover to then go after Obama.

2. Dem strategists need to stop being to p*ssy scared to call people out on things
And call it what it is. There are very clear racial undertones in the dialogue right now that people need to sound the alarm on. Rachel seems to be the only one willing to go that far, everyone else acts scared and bewildered. Get on your damn toes Dems!!!

4. Lately you can see the disgust and disappointment in her eyes
I really hope that Obama can prevail despite the attacks from all sides.

8. I think she knows what it is like to have someone marginalize you because of what you look like or
who you are based off stereotypes and ignorance. She definitely got fired up in her rant and had a lot of hurt in her eyes.

These attacks on Obama are beyond civil.

7. She pretty much called Buchanan a racist on "Race for the White House" today...

Right near the end of the show. She was doing a great job of countering the "presumptuous" argument by noting that Pat had said nothing when McCain described the state of the nation after four years of his presidency and how he cast himself as President in one of his campaign ads.

I don't think she'll be getting a Christmas card from Pat this year. I don't think she'll be very upset about that, either.

I was glad to see her mix it up on this topic. It's the most nonsensical, non-issue of the entire race so far, and that's really saying something.

9. Yeah, she really brought the pain
Her best point was when she closed with that statement about how Pat's analysis said more about Pat himself than about Obama.
