Obama's VP Choice should definitely be a Sharp Attack Dog |
|
McCain and the depraved GOP are going to spray every ounce of bile against the Obama campaign. Have you noticed that the RNC has pretty much given up on taking back Congress and is instead going to dump all their cash to save McCain's hide?
I don't see Tim Kaine as being an effective attack dog for Obama. Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Wes Clark, hell even Claire McCaskill are far better choices. Obama needs a bulldog who is not afraid to punch hard.

I do think Biden is deserving of a Cabinet post.

The SOTU reply isn't a good example because that's a very controlled speech and delivery. She's known to be pretty tough though in Kansas.

sure he talks a lot but he can carve up rightwingers into bite sized little pieces... and he'll smile while doing it. There's something very endearing about that : - ))))

5. AGREED 100%. It is out of Character and Image for Barack to attack, so a V.P. "Born Fighting" is |
|
what Barack needs. That is probably one of the reasons they tried to recruit Webb for the job.
Not clear why he declined so definitively.

I didn't support them one iota during the primaries, I think Hillary or Biden is needed in light of the crap being slung by the McCain camp.

If Obama decides that having a VP who is a sharp attack dog is important, then Biden is the one. He is great at attacking with humor and a smile on his face. I suspect, however, that there are other factors which are more important.

Have the bulldogs dizzy before they know what hit 'em.
Laser-beam focus, though a little OCD to manage.
Trusted to bring up the rear for the leader.
I'm a bit personally biased toward herding dogs though ;)

21. Schweitzer. Because he can attack and not turn people off in the process. |
|
People are SICK of POLITICAL ATTACK DOGS. But Schweitzer can destroy his opponent with his down home wit. The American Public will LOVE IT and it will make them think, hey if Obama picks a guy like this he must be okay.
Turn Schweitzer lose in OH, PA, WV, and VA and McCain might as well right those states off.
Obama/Schweitzer is the ticket that NO AMOUNT of corporate media manipulation will overcome.

26. I've been warming up to Richardson...but he would really turn off LGBT voters. |
|
His use of the word "maricon" (which means f*ggot) and his statement that being gay is a choice would resurrect the "Donnie McObama" crowd.
If Obama picks him, Richardson better have a stellar answer for those statements.

But I have reservations about his longtime Washington connection, which goes against the grain of Obama's message of change, and I worry about faux pas slipping from Biden's mouth and too much time being spent on damage control.

29. And there is the pesky vote for the Iraq War |
|
I don't understand how everyone keeps going on about Biden's supposed foreign policy experience, considering that he voted at authorize the biggest foreign policy blunder in this nation's history. Either he is not as smart as people claim, or he is a craven politician, who voted for the war for purely political reasons. Either way, I am not at all impressed. I also think he is too much of an attention hound, and sometimes says some of the most idiotic things. And don't get me started on his ties to the financial industry. I don't want to see him in an Obama administration, either as VP or in his cabinet.
