"Obama has fans. He doesn't have voters. That's why he lost PA by over 20 points to Hillary..."
Edited on Thu Jul-31-08 01:51 PM by jenmito
This was just said by Repub. strategist Todd Boulanger on MSNBC (defending the "Celeb" ad) and NOT corrected by the Dem. strategist, Julie Rejenski (sp?). So the Repubs. are allowed to just say whatever they want???

1. I've been disappointed by many of the Dem strategists on these shows.
The Republicans lie constantly. They must be called on it immediately.

8. So have I. They're weak. And the host never corrects them, either.
They just raise negative questions about Obama and then let either a Repub. defend the negative talking point or let two strategists discuss it and the Dem. is almost always weaker.

26. Cliff Schecter (sp?) is the only Dem strategist that seems to be
able to make the repuke strategist pay for their attempts at propagandizing on these shows.

I miss Cliff Schecter - he ought to be on the payroll!

after Clinton lost her 20 point lead.

31. Obama outspent Hillary in PA 3 to 1.
She won the entire state, except Philadelphia, some of its suburbs and the Harrisburg area.

I'm not interested in engaging in this discussion, since I was simply stating the facts, and the primary is over.

It doesn't matter what went into achieving the end result by this point, since Obama is the presumptive Democratic nominee.

5. That is false reasoning.
It completely negates Hillary's well run campaign in the state. The GOP are so very, very desparate. Obama has yet to even begin the onslaught of hope.

7. That is why Obama has to put Kerry, Biden, and Hillary
on TV. Kerry and Biden, especially, that are fierce surrogates. And I think that it was a mistake to chastise Wes Clark...Clark is excellent in demolishing that hypocrite McCain. I would ask Clark to come back to the attack mode and give him free rein to say and do whatever he wants. Moreover, make him your Vice-President!

13. I agree with you on clark...
but as it stands, with Mccain flapping in the wind, the more he says, the more he looks and sounds just like booosh. People understand this. Once we get to the debates, where Obama will DESTROY Johnny, then we'll see where the rubber meets the road.

Obama will allow Johnny to pick a VP candidate first. Let him have his little bump, then Obama will pick his and the selection will crush any momentum Johnny gets. The real campaigning will begin in September, I believe.

That's an entirely different race.

Hillary votes don't translate into McCain votes.

Get some Dem strategists who are for Obama and know what the fuck is going on.

Or do they get these so-called Dems on purpose to complete their Black OPS?

Victory is going to be so sweet.

competent Dem. strategists. It makes me so angry when I see them let the Repub. get away with their lies.

27. The Democrat should have agreed with him.

"You are right, of course. None of these people are going to actually vote for him. So all you need do is arrange for McCain's campaign chairman in each state to cast a single vote for John. The esteemed Republican strategist here just told the rest of you out there who were thinking of voting McCain that you need not bother now. Spend that extra time preparing to celebrate your 1-0 victory in all 50 states."
