John Kerry on McCain: "Dangerous for the Direction of this Country"
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/08/john-kerry-on-m.html

At a small fundraiser for Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, this evening in Boston, Mass., Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., had some harsh words for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

"The bottom line is, this administration has moved towards Barack Obama's positions, John McCain is still stuck on the low road express," Kerry said, referring to recent US foreign policy shifts regarding Afghanistan, Iran, and North Korea. "He doesn't get it," Kerry said of McCain. "He's even dangerous, I think, for the direction of this country. That's why we need to stay focused on electing Barack…"

2. Kerry has litte room to talk
He was not the best our party had in 2004. He would have won if he didn't flipped and flopped around

4. That is old Repub material you are using there. Real Dem's know that Kerry was no FF and offered
this country the best chance it had to date to change course and move forward.

7. He did not flip or flop
The fact is that even the example used was not a flip flop. He voted Yes for one version of a bill and No for another. He was the best candidate we had - and he very nearly won or even if there were simply enough voting machines in Ohio.

Aside from the fact, that winning or losing is NOT what he is speaking of - and Kerry's Kerry/Feingold was essentially the current Democratic plan.

14. I think he also could be a "sympathetic" figure ...
to openly address McCain's shift from running a "campaign on the issues" to the usual republican kitchen sink philosophy ...

He has first hand experience being framed with lies, and can go back and connect the dots where McCain was the victim of slander, lies and deceit in 2000 by Bush/Rove and vowed to not campaign like that, reference his experience at their hands, then note that McCain has sold out to their campaign style, which likely is a portent of selling out to their governance style ....

and to be repeated as a mantra. The media likes the negative stuff from the candidates. Let them have it! People need to know the consequences of a McCain white house and to be scared shitless of the idea.
