i hate to say this, but the person who will benefit the most from tonight's forum... |
|
...is Rick Warren.
I mean, the GOP calls Obama arrogant, but how full of yourself do you have to be to serve as Dr. Phil to two Presidential candidates?
Warren is slick, smug and smarmy. He may have just boosted Obama's campaign, but with a significant boost to his own public image as well.

Yep, I'm sure he's already designed the logo for the "Reverend Rick Show." This is all about taking Warren to the top of the evangelist hit parade.

4. Of course. Warren is making a play for the leadership of the evangelical movement. |
|
I think he's going to try to make it seem "hipper" and more appealing to young people and the xtians who are more interested in the "least of my brothers" aspect of Christianity.

6. Who cares how many books he sales |
|
The point for Obama was to address a voting block that he can tap into. He quoted scripture, was eloquent and intelligent. He probably wonhimself some votes tonight, so I could care less if the pastor sells a book or two.

7. Better job than CNN in the debates I'd rather see Warren prosper than Wolf Blitzer |

I turned in for just a few minutes. I had a fairly benevolent opinion of Warren before this, but then I never saw him on TV before.
And his make-up was really bad.
