I think I remember seeing her lean in and say something, but I probably perceived that as being a mother keeping her daughter calm in a very exciting moment.

7. for Fathers who have to travel and miss alot of their daughters lives

the nightly phone call is a lifeline to sanity. Inevitably the younger one always asks "Daddy where are you" and you gulp and tell her "Albuqurque" and the next sentence is "where is Albuqurque?"

When she asked her daddy what city he was in yesterday it was like a communal call that a few thousand travelling dad's shared.

We have all had that moment on a nightly basis.

It is striking that something so basic should be so universal and humanize Obama so thoroughly.
