Is anyone SICK of Sarah Palin yet.
GDP has turned into a General Discussion Palin. I mean maybe Skinner could create a separate forum for all these posts. I try reading posts about Obama and Biden and they get sent to the next page after a couple of minutes. I know I am in the minority here, but I am getting tired of all the threads.

Flame away if you disagree.

4. I was sick of it on Friday when DU seemed to be overwhelmed and obsessed with Palin
to the near exclusion of discussion of Obama's tremendous speech of just the night before. Here at DU it seemed nearly everything was Palin this or Palin that.

5. Well . . . .

I understand your views, but I think it's important for all of us to realize that the discussion of her is about a shocking, irresponsible decision by McClone. Which, with every developing story about her past, looks worse and worse. If McClown had just said something really, really stupid - - as stupid or more so than the houses gaffe - - we'd be talking about it too.

It's only been 36 hours; the level of discussion seems normal to me. I think we all know what is about to start dominating the conversation around here, as much as that depresses me and moves me to tears for the people directly affected.

we just have to get it out of our system.

That is after we've examined every possible angle, position, scenario, and rumor.

9. Stop paying attention.
I think the situation is well in hand.

Work on improving something in your life that needs fixing, or helping someone in trouble.

When the time comes, we will all be a powerful force.

14. Welcome
It is a great start. Hopefully, once you get comfortable, you will be able to move on into the wider world and become more comfortable.

I have had many panic attacks in my life. Once after my Congressman called me at my house because he wanted to disagree with a letter I wrote about him in 2005. I had a panic attack for 7 days, and I was unemployed for 3 out of the last 5 years.

Only recently have I been able to overcome a whole lot of that. It's still one day at a time, but without the hope and the stories I have heard from other people overcoming the same struggles I have had. I would be a goner.

Keep in touch.

I'll add you to my buddy list. Feel free to do the same.

Also, plese read my journal. I love feedback.

Thanks,
Kire

It's not a substitute for going out and interacting with people face to face, but it means something to some people. It took a long time for me to tell the difference, myself.

16. It was an online therapist
So I just assumed he meant "online." But you could be right. I live in a heavily GOP friendly neighborhood, so I doubt any of my neighbors would be worth engaging. That goes for my office as well.

21. Welcome.
Maybe you should check out meetup.com. See if you can find a local Democratic or progressive meetup and try attending. That way you'll be meeting people with similar beliefs who are very accepting.

24. It's a great site.
It's not just political groups. They have groups for all kinds of interests so maybe you can also find other groups that interest you. My brother started a shyness group on meetup, may be you can find something similar in your area, or start one yourself! :)
