Just saw a clip of McCain / Palin and I have a question

I am so shocked. I cannot believe its not all over everywhere...

Was John McCain fiddling with his wedding ring and staring at Palin's chest while she was speaking? Was that for real?

It was just a short clip - but my God! It sure as hell seemed obvious to me. I had to rewind it in case I was seeing things.

Did anyone else notice this?

23. That's what I thought. When I saw it live and now again in the clip, it almost

seemed he was checking to see if she remained on script. I read somewhere that her speech was written by one of his guys, can't recall who, and she wasn't reading from the pages she had for much of what she was going on about. Wonder if she ad libbed or went off track - left something out? I can just imagine him leaning over to her in the end whispering, "Hey, trollop, next time, stick to the script..."

I honestly got the sense that he wanted to see what was written. Who knows. Maybe he was ogling her - seems odd he'd be so overt about it under the circumstances, though. He mostly seemed anxious and uncomfortable.
