Curious...anybody from the Twin Cities?
Just wondering what the buzz is out there about the possible delay or cancellation....and the lost $$$$$.

1. Just speculation so far. Haven't heard much about it.

Personally, I'm going to stay as far away as possible - I don't want to get anywhere near the whole festering evil karma those bastards will generate, and I hope somebody figures out how to perform an exorcism after they've left.

I'm not sure how much will actually be lost if the whole sorry thing is cancelled, since there are hefty cancellation fees for such events. I suppose some merchants and restaurants will lose out. On the other hand, we taxpayers won't have to pick up the tab for the ridiculous "security."

3. It is rumored that Pawlenty turned down the VP slot, and this may be
revenge of a sort? I don't know how it will go down, but I think it's a stretch to assume that the state will be Red in November, regardless?

4. No way in Hell will Minnesota go for McAncient.
Even if Timmy the Tool had been selected, there was no chance. I don't think Timmy turned down the offer, considering how he'd had his little brown nose stuck in McAncient's skinny ass for over a year. Rumor has it Captain Geezer was going to pick him until Obama cleaned his clock on national television, so at the last minute he ditched Timmy and picked Palin, figuring to catch a few PUMAs that way. I have no doubt Timmy is honked off, but he's such a hopeless Republican tool that he'll never admit it.
