Scaredy-cat, chicken-shit Repubs HIDING behind Gustav's skirts
Edited on Sun Aug-31-08 11:34 AM by npincus
Chimpy, Cheney and now a growing list of Repubs NOT attendiong their convention... Gov. Jindal, I understand. But B*sh AND Cheney? BOTH? Will they be couwering in some undisclosed location together? And Crist? (because of "Hanna" approaching)...

The Republican brand is SHIT and Repubs can exhale- Chimy's staying home, Cheney's staying home, and numerous other GOP reps can run away from their own party membership to protect and defend their constituents from the fury of nature. Yeah, right. GOP, party of chicken-hawks and chicken-shits.

Everybody is aware of the devastating TV split-screen potential here," Rogers added. "The affected governors ... are all major-leaguers with close ties to McCain. The best political antennas in the party are tuned in to this."

In addition to Barbour, the three other Republican governors whose states sit in the path of the hurricane are Rick Perry of Texas, Bob Riley of Alabama and Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, who told the New Orleans Times-Picayune that he would go to the convention only if something "dramatic or unexpected" happened. Perry and Jindal had speaking slots lined up this week.

Bush called the four governors Saturday morning "to make sure the states were receiving all the assistance they needed from the federal government," White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said. He said Bush "pledged the full support of the federal government."

Some GOP members of Congress have also opted to stay home with their constituents rather than travel to St. Paul, including Sen. David Vitter, who lives in New Orleans, and Rep. Roger Wicker (Miss.), who is up for re-election this fall.

for the camera, all the bullshit....taking all the thunder for the republican party...it'll all be on television where more than 80% of gullible Americans get their news, if it's on TV (and it will be headlines) people will believe what they see & are told....this will all be packaged by Rove very nicely....and they'll admit to Katrina fuck ups.... but, they'll say, look what we are doing here now...more swift government aid, emergency vehicles & shelters than you can shake a stick at....people have short memories....except all of us of course!!

3. It's amazing how people have zero perception, no foresight of politics and how effective certain

situations can change things, turning points, how powerful manipulations and images are...they are so frighten and have no concept what so ever and they just prefer to stay put, do nothing...and they actually truly wonder why the Dems continue to get their ass kicked, even with everything going for the Dems - and in the end they scratch their heads and still can't figure it out....they don't see the power of attack...they prefer to stay put, hope for the best and be nice....let someone else make the decisions and they will blindly agree and follow.

You know and I know what a circus this will be...it's going to be well planned. Rove has been planning this as soon as they knew this was going to develop, the timing is impeccable, almost as if they could control it and make it happen...telling us how McCain cares, he's helping people during his convention...and HIS administration (never mind he's a republican too) will do all they can for people...all the government help necessary, blah, blah, blah, and more bullshit...the media will fill in all the blanks for McCain. And Americans looking for any reason NOT to vote for Obama, this will be their excuse...

But these people who really believe Obama is god, can't make any mistakes. Have no belief that some things are beyond his control...don't have a clue, zero perception...just stay the course, don't rock the boat and hope for the best is their sad zombie philosophy of living....DU is full of these people...they ALL came out when I put up a thread last night...saying Obama needs to move on this and NOT from afar....Oh no they posted, Obama knows all, Obama has never ever made a mistake...all things are in his control...Fucking sheep!
