1. The Repugs were praying for a reason to avoid Shooter and the Chimp.
But it will still be interesting to watch the RNC attempt to politicize a potential disaster.

11. They aren't interested in this election.
There is nothing in it for them. They already got the gold mine and the next President I'm afraid will get the shaft.

9. Arnold isn't going either.
Claims he's too busy screwing up my state. However, I think it's because Minnesota isn't big enough for both him and Jesse Ventura.

23. Now THAT'S gonna be some good theater!!
I have little interest in watching the R's convention, but I'd tune in for the Ron Paul event, especially Jesse's speech. Heck, if I lived nearby and there were a good restaurant close to their venue I'd probably drop by to hear it in person!

25. Wouldn't no Bush and Cheney at the convention actually be a blessing for the GOP?
Actually, who needs Bush there when his political twin brother John McCain will be there?

30. It's a mixed blessing for the GOP.
On the one hand, it does look pretty bad that the president and VP aren't even going to be there (why both of them, though? LOL!).

On the other hand, it will probably go better without them.

On the OTHER hand, how sad is it that they are probably relieved a natural disaster the likes of which was ignored last time is giving them an out to not have their dumbest and most evil party members there?
