I just don't believe that particular line of attack would be effective. In fact, it might have the opposite effect.

The attacks on her should be based on the myriad things she's said and done. She outright LIED when she introduced herself as McSame's veep choice. She said she fought the "bridge to nowhere" earmark when she actually supported it. She lied about voting to save Alaska fisheries from a mining project by turning around and supporting it when she got into office.

The woman is a complete phony, a flip-flopper (like Johnny "Bothsides" McSame) and an intellectual lightweight. Going after a possible weird cover-up of a very dicey family situation - no matter how "juicy" it appears - could give this woman cover she doesn't deserve.
