The parties should have had their conventions in July before the Olympics

instead of this back to back thing. Why? If we had a convention in July with a week or two between conventions we could have given Obama and Biden a chance to leave the convention running and not compete with the other parties convention right away. The attention for at least a week or two would have been on the democratic ticket instead now we are competing right off the bat with McCain's VP selection, the GOP convention and a hurricane.

1. We did that last time and then the Republicans had theirs to great fanfare in August

and they stole the election from us.

2. that was last time. Obama and Biden are different candidates.

That was how it was in '92 with Clinton and Gore too, and they got a big boost from there post convention bus tour before the GOP convention.
