I see GOP dirty tricksters are at work here
Does anyone really believe things changed after Watergate? No way, they just got smarter. They know that they cannot win elections on the merits of their ideology so they have to use deceit, trickery and smear to win. BTW, my gut tells me to stay away from this baby story---and I mean far away. I suspect a trap.

1. Someone in another thread said let the National Enquirer handle it. Sounds good to me...

why not send them a link to what's out there and let them do what they do best.

I don't know what in the hell to make out of the story.

So many other goodies though like trooper-gate, wolf-gate, big oil-gate, Wasilla-20mil in the hole-gate to pick from.

oh yea, deciding to complete a meeting while leaking amniotic fluid, fly to seattle then on to Alaska-gate because (As a mom of 2, there's no way in hell I'd take a chance with my baby's life like that.)

11. At the expense of something really nasty being said to me
(flame suit on).

I not only leaked fluid from time to time, I BLED (and at times heavy) from my fourth month on. Not only was I NOT confined to bed but I worked a full time job. I had my baby a few weeks early but he was fine. My doctors told me there was no reason for me to go to bed. I kept in regular, updated visits and infection was closely watched and I had a lot more sonograms, but that was it.

I read an article today that she was in full contact with her ob that day and the ob didn't seem upset.

We really, really need to drop this before it slaps us.

2. A trap, maybe, in fact more than maybe...but...
...if that's so then there's really a minefield of 'em out there...cuz this chick Palin has a fucking smorgasbord of skeletons in her closet and a plethora of plain as day shortcomings right out there for everyone to see.

3. No, it's Trig. Trap is on first. Daughter is on second with child.
There will be no aborted plays but a suicide squeeze is in the works for the middle class.

5. It has always been thus: Republicans cannot win on issues or ideology. They lie, cheat, smear...
...deceive, manipulate, and cheat some more. They can NOT win honestly, or on the issues. If they told voters the truth about themselves and their platform, no one would vote for the bastards. They HAVE to lie, by their very platform, to get elected.

14. I disagree.
People are talking about this all over the Internet. If 99% of DUers kept our mouths shut, they'd still say we "Dem operatives" were pushing the story. I think the story has substance and I'd rather be involved in the direction it takes - correcting misinformation, discouraging wild speculation, focusing on the important aspects - than leave it to others who may not have Truth as their primary motive.

16. This is all about controlling the message on Palin.
They're trying to keep us busy with useless distractions while they set out to define her image to America. I have very good sources. Their entire strategy in picking the unknown Palin was that they could get out there and mold her image to suit their needs, but they knew that in order for it to work, they would have to spam the internet with pro-Palin hype while clogging our boards and blogs with useless rumors which will prove untrue and make us both waste our time and look dumb.

17. They're here, but they're working on the cover-up.
Remember Rather? Well, that wasn't a trick, it was just a cover-up. The documents were never shown to be inauthentic--there was just a very effective PR campaign that made you think they were.
