Local news reporting that McCain may not even show up for the convention |
|
because of the hurricane. He may actually address delegates via satellite from the Gulf area. My God - how much that man cares! :sarcasm: and may I also add a :puke:

11. I was watching something earlier in which a reporter |
|
was in New Orleans and she reported that "the wind is blowing!"
Dear God. Reminds me of the time I saw a reporter lean down to the icy crust on the ground, rap his knuckles on it and say "Do you hear how cold that is???" (I live in Texas.) I rolled my eyes so hard I sprained them.

6. I was at the McCain campaign HQ |
|
on Friday and they talked explicitly of exploiting this disaster in order to make themselves look good. They said they need to "seem" like they care because they need this to look good for them..."after last time."

10. Wow at first I thought you were joking. |

How can he not accept his party's nomination in person? I mean, I know there's a hurricane, but they've got Dingleberry and Douchebag on it, why does he need to be there, too?

12. What Happens If The Repugs Throw A Convention And No One Came...... |
|
if you ask me Gustav is a godsend to the Repugs. Even the nominee was looking for and excuse not to come. So Bush is out. Cheney's out. And now McCain is looking to get out attending. They are all embarrassed. Not only does Gustav give them an opportunity not to have to do the conventional convention things - but they can use Gustav to try and better their performance during Katrina. But remember folks - we're dealing with a Bush made government. No matter how much they try and do to make it look better than their performance during Katrina - you know they'll screw something up big.
And just like *CO - the McCain campaign is saying that Obama/Biden are being political by going out and campaigning during this time of national crisis - while we all know that the Repugs are using Gustav and pushing this use to new political heights. How Rovian to call out the other side while it is your side that is actually trying to benefit politically. Some things never change. I only hope that the American people have their number and realize once again that they are being manipulated.
I don't believe that McCain is actually saying that he might accept the nomination from somewhere in the storm ravaged Gulf after Gustav passes. I'm sure it will be a blow-out performance. Probably to 84,000 homeless people.
