The Palin-baby nonsense is a non-story
It's all circumstantial evidence that'll go nowhere. And it's moot. The election should be about the issues and McCain and Palin's policies, not conspiracy theories that could be easily determined to be complete bullshit.

Let's get over this and get back to things that actually matter.

1. A Request, a Plea, a Beg, Really

Please, no more announcements calling attention to the story by informing us that it's a non-story? No offense, but it's already been said. About 100 times.

5. Uh... a story that is proving her a liar should not be told then?
The woman's water breaks (according to her, even tho her stomach was flat as a board), and she starts taking planes, but we should be silent. O-kay.

17. If it turns out that she is the 44 year old mother of a Down's syndrome baby,
is it then ok if Obama and the Democrats have to endure a huge backlash over accusing a mother that her baby is not really hers? It's worth the risk for such an accusation? Because if you put Democrat fingerprints all over this and it is not true many Americans are going to be very pissed and that is what the story will be about for days as Democrats have to talk their way out of it.

Ask any woman what she thinks of that.

20. That's an entirely different and legitimate story compared to her faking her pregnancy
and the baby is really her daughter's.

22. Actually, no. You need to read what's being posted around and
look at pictures of what she looked like pregnant through every single one of her pregnancies and compare them to the day she declared she was 7 month pregnant rather than jumping to conclusions about how it couldn't possibly be true. If she was 7 months pregnant in those photos, then she was pregnant with a mouse and not a human being.

If I had a buffalo for every really far-fetched lie that woman told about her pregnancy, I'd have the largest herd of buffalo on the planet.

24. Actually, yes. Faking a pregnancy and making stupid judgments about your impending delivery
after your water breaks are two different things. I wouldn't touch the pregnancy faking with a 10 foot poll because if it is wrong it would blow up in our faces big time. Americans would not take kindly to falsely accusing a 44 year old mother of claiming her Down's syndrome baby is hers. I wouldn't be surprised if this story had Rovian roots just to sucker Democrats to swallow it hook, line, and sinker.

6. Get back to things that actually matter...like winning the 2008 election?
If so, then your shooting down a potentially HELPFUL "scandal" involving our opponents is counter-productive. I guess you like Repuke rule as you can retain your "lofty" ideals.

8. Obama's team is smart enough not to take the bait. It's a bright shiny object probably
dangled with the encouragement of Karl Rove.

I'm sure the Obama campaign will make a good decision when and if they determine that it's time to enlighten the electorate about Palin's ideologies and governing record.

11. Disagree. Palin made it an issue when she publicly stated that
she chose to honor her pro-life beliefs by keeping a baby with Downs Syndrome. Now I believe that the MSM and others have an obligation to ensure that she is not perpetrating a fraud by claiming that she chose to be pro-life when in fact the child could be her daughters.

IF the story is true, it reveals a lot of negatives about her character. It's worth investigating to see if it's true.

25. google Palin grandmother trig 2008 and see what you get.
There's no verification yet, but, all stories start somewhere.
Plus, it will take some time and investigation and discussion before anyone will have the cajones to put the question out there and ask for a denial.

That, in and of itself, is going to be the story, regardless of the validity. It will be the story because of the circumstantial evidence, and because she's running on her superior morality.

But you cannot make it go away. And it won't.

We'll keep digging into it, and you'll keep chiding us.
