Here are my VP credentials - what are yours?
Edited on Sun Aug-31-08 11:43 PM by nini
I played volleyball in Catholic School in 1971 - I think I was a co-captain.
I got my driver's license the day after I turned 16 - aced that test!
I worked for the US Postal Service serving my country for EIGHT full years!
I took a class in Portuguese at a local community college which gave me the required foreign relations experience.

I think that qualifies me? Can you top this??? :D I think I'm a shoe in!

I should get the job before you because I have better foreign relations experience: I sell stuff on ebay and sometimes I have customers from other parts of the world.

I also have executive experience: I was the den mother of a Boy Scout troop for 2 years.

11. I'm definitely qualified to be McCain's VP. I learned to say the alphabet BACKWARDS when I was 5!
I served as secretary of my high school drill team.
I'm physically fit (sort of), because I walk about 3 miles every day.
I raised three children (and none are currently pregnant...although they are all boys).
I once worked on an environmental issue and even negotiated with the director of our state's Department of Ecology!
I visited England, Switzerland and Belgium about 30 years ago (definitely foreign relations experience).

22. I was actually elected President
of my local union, even though I voted against myself. Despite my attempt to elect my opponent I won by a landslide with 75% of the votes.

Since I was President for 1 year I figure I'm qualified to be VP for 4.

23. I'm a Political Science Major
I have taken a class on International Politics. And I actually did spend a year in Alaska: which is close to Russia. Besides that we traveled through Canada on the Alaskan highway. However I have no PTA experience. That may disqualify me. Oh wait, I grew up attending the Assembly of God. That might help!

33. Mine aren't as good, but maybe enough for SOS?
- I am from Minnesota and eat lefse. Granted, it's not as interesting as mooseburgers!

- I was Miss Congeniality 1992 in my small hometown pageant.

- I live in Minnesota (on the Canadian border) so I must be an expert at foreign policy.

- I manage our home budget and all the financials for our home-based business (plus do our own taxes!) so I MUST be a financial genius.

- I took Spanish for 5 years in high school and college.

- I was the Chair of the Membership Committee for a Community Theatre for three years so I have executive experience.

Gosh, I am starting to wonder why I haven't been appointed the leader of the free world yet.

:sarcasm:

You may be over qualified with your home budget experience though. It appears one must only spend more than they pull in to qualified.
