I've changed my mind about Palin. Seriously.
I had thought this hubbub about her pregnancy was really over the top. I still think that it is NOT an issue that the CAMPAIGN should be pushing.

However, I also cannot believe that she was 7 months pregnant in the video below. She gave birth, supposedly, only a couple of weeks after the announcement. How does anyone who is 7 months along sit in this hunched forward position? I had three babies, the first was less than 7 pounds and I didn't show much. But I couldn't have sat forward and hunched over the way this woman does. Look at this and decide for yourself.

She wants to repeal tax credits to companies who provide health care, but she against federally funded health care, too.

23. So I guess Satanists' favorite show is "I Love Lucifer" and favorite
book is "Marjorie Morningstar."

Or Palin's. To me, fundies and satanists are interchangeable.

43. Seriously: IS Sarah Palin the Antichrist?
The Mysterious Stranger.

"Sarah Louise Heath Palin"

is an anagram for

'Super Ha Ha! Halo alienist.'

"Heath" is etymologically related to "heathen,"

and "Louise" is of course etymologically related to Lucifer.

If there's an online movement out there creating an inquiry as to whether Obama's the Antichrist, then
we certainly need to create a similar inquiry about the Mysterious Stranger known as Sarah:

What do we really know about her?

Who is she, really?

I think this should be in the lounge because it's idle gossip. Fun, but idle gossip nonetheless. It has nothing to do with the campaign.

22. I haven't weighed in on this stuff at all so far.
But I have to say, if that was really her at seven months in that last part, all scrunched over, able to wrap her arms around the front of her knees like that.....I'd have to seriously doubt she was seven months along. Or pregnant at all. I was hoping to get a better look when she stood up at the end, but she sort of half-stood, then turned around with her back to the camera.

No woman at seven months sits like that, not even one who isn't all that huge. You just....can't. It's not so much the belly, remember this is the uterus, the protrusion starts really far down, so sitting like that just isn't much of an option.

IF she were trying to hide that she wasn't pregnant, sitting like that would hide it, but it also doesn't look natural at all for being "seven months." I guess it was better than resorting to a fake belly.

All that being said, I still have no idea about all this and think that probably Palin will be asked to withdraw from the race in a little bit and she'll cite family reasons. It won't be just because of this, or even at all because of this, but because of the cumulative effect of everything else.

33. Right. And the "protrusion" that starts way down holds a hard head, shoulders,
and other hard bones. I don't see how a 7 month pregnant woman could scrunch herself together that way.

37. Exactly.
Not every baby has turned and gone head down at 7 months, but a LOT have. They've gotten too big to flip around any more. Just that head down there alone makes it difficult to scrunch over in any shape or form.

41. And the other big question for me
is why the mother is letting her daughter dangle in the wind.

It must be awful for the girl -- is she supposed to go back to school with these rumors hanging over her head?

If Sarah is the mom, she should get the proof out there -- NOW -- so the daughter doesn't have to go through any more of this. It's too late to put the Genie back in the bottle. Palin has to deal with this.

34. That picture doesn't really prove anything does it.
It might have been photoshopped -- considering the original freeper source.

And assuming it wasn't photoshopped, we also don't know that the bump was all natural. Do we? The question remains -- how did she manage all that scrunching and hunching forward in the video at 7 months pregnant?

36. I can say with a modicum of authority, that image was NOT photoshopped.
As far as the video, who knows, but I think we're beating a dead horse here. Bristol may or may not be currently preggers but Trigg, IMO, is 99.999% Sarah's.

42. Okay, I'm wanting to believe you're right.
My problem is that this mother is letting her daughter dangle in the wind. Why is Palin allowing her daughter to have to suffer through these rumors when Sarah could end it all by releasing her medical records?

This has been whispered about in Alaska for months, and now it's even being covered in the daily newspaper in Anchorage. Is the daughter supposed to go back to school with these rumors hanging over her head? SHE hasn't asked to be a politician, yet she must be suffering. As galling as it must be, her mother owes it to her to release those records and let her poor daughter off the hook.

27. FWIW, that video was taken on Monday, March 3, 2 days before she announced her pregnancy.
http://www.adn.com/front/story/336402.html

It was at a Newsweek conference on Women and Leadership, and she appeared with Gov Janet Napolitano.
Given that she was 36 wks when Trig was born (Apr. 18), she would have been 29 1/2 weeks on the day of that video.

Mighty flexible she was!!

28. And she stands up pretty quickly after the interview at the end of the clip.
My wife was about the same age as Sarah when she was pregnant with our first, and at seven months her balance was always being thrown off by the baby moving around. She could have never stood up that quickly from a seated position.

38. Um, hate to rain on your parade, but...

The footage of her behind the desk at the beginning (where she's obviously not showing) is stock footage they inserted into the story; new footage of her from after the announcement (with her in the red coat) is later in the story and she can easily be pregnant in that shot and the one where she's on the panel.
