Bridget McCain is not in the picture - WHY - I KNOW
School starts early in Arizona, she is back in school.
Link below says she attends a 'private' school. Her sister attended Xavier H.S. in Phoenix, if she attends there also she is attending class. (Look it up school has started)

Now can we please focus on the big issues that are winners and not get tied up into asinine RW denigration. WE ARE FUCKING DEMOCRATS! When a mistake is made we own up to it and don't continue to push it. Repubs can turn a lie into the truth because the people who vote for them don't care!

1. I saw her picture. She is not attending her father's event because she is different and exotic?

15. I'm surprised that some one hasn't photoshopped her into one of the family portraits already...
Why she isn't in ANY of the photos-ops, is very telling to me. It tells me exactly where the GOP/republican side stands on diversity, adoption, family values, family love and pride and fairness.

It tells me all I need to know and that's why I'm a democrat.

2. How many other students' dads are running for president?
Edited on Mon Sep-01-08 05:25 AM by SoCalDem
Seems to me that ANY school administrator would surely cut her all the slack she needed..

She has been taught what her place in the family is.. :( poor kid

3. I hope to see her join her family at some point because her exclusion would be really rotten.

4. They are ashamed of their daughter
The McCains saw what happened in 2000 when rethugs were repulsed at the thought of a brown child. Karl Rove knows rethugs and he tapped into their bigotry. They are doing there best to hide her this time around.

She could easily make the time to take a photo here. They don't want her in the photo. Hell, I barely see her in any photos. McCain and his campaign operatives wish she would just go away so she doesn't risk turning off rethug voters.

Poor girl.

17. I'll give the Mccain's credit and see they aren't ashamed of her
They might just be trying to protect her from the type of attacks she got in the last election.

If, God forbid, Mccain wins, she'll be living in the white house, surely? They can't keep her hidden then, can they?

5. I would imagine her inner pain goes well beyond not being in a picture
Edited on Mon Sep-01-08 05:36 AM by GrizzlyMan
Honestly, the thought of McCain being able to connect with a 16-year-old is perposterous. She might as well be fatherless, because I'm sure he's no father to her and of course Cindy is higher than a kite most of the time so I'm sure she's not much of a mother.

6. She hasn't been in ANY McCain pictures or events, ALL summer long.
I've been watching the news, haven't you? Have you seen her at all? By the way, school's not open in the summer.

Not sure why you think it's out of the question for McCain to "hide" her. Sounds completely normal to me.

7. It will be interesting to see if she is present at the convention..
when he accepts his nomination. I hope that she is. In the face of the magnitude of that event, for anyone and their family, I can't imagine that missing a day of school would mean much.

12. She would be in the "crowd" that rushes onstage later on..
Think about it.. He barely knows her except for the occasional bbq, and Cindy did not even tell/ask/inform McBlunder until she brought Bridget home.. what could he say? she's the one with the money..

Mc cain repeatedly voted against the MLK holiday..do you think he was happy to have a new dark skinned kid, when he knew he planned to run for office forever, and knowing what republicans are ??

9. I'm sorry to say that doesn't fly. Kids were back in school 2 weeks ago.
Obama's kids took some days off to see their dad's acceptance speech. She could have taken some time off to be in a photo-op with her dad. They would have worked with McCain's schedule and to add their daughter. You know that as well as I do. But they didn't.

Further more, she's not even in the video blogs that the daughter puts out or in any pictures where the elder daughter is. I didn't even know there was another daughter until DUers mentioned it because she's not in any pictures.

There's definitely more here, however I will say none of it is important during this election. His judgement on Palin is far more entertaining.

11. If you were running for POTUS, don't you think you might write your kid a note?
This is baloney. They've disappeared the poor girl because vast numbers of stupid voters are unaware of her existence. If they wouldn't vote for Obama because of race, do you think they'd vote for a person who voluntarily adopted a person of color? It's pretty shameful.

16. Here is his "little brown one"
to quote an earlier Shrub...

And for those in the lunatic fringe, who spout all this glowing nonsense about a Piyush "Bobby" Jindal and actually believe that those in their party outside of their fringe ideological base would support a non-European descendant, one can see why McLame has been hiding this young woman since he has chosen to drink the Koolaid.

18. Get your head out of your ass. Political Warfare has no need for your WIMP BULLSH*T.
Get out of the fuckin' way, you yesteryear idealistic WIMP Dem. I want to WIN and regain power. Take your lofty ideals and shove it.

Talking about the "big issues" assumes that the populace has the attention span or intelligence to stick with the discussion. You might think that everyone is as smart as you, but sadly that's not the case.

Your "big issue" approach has resulted in REPEATED LOSSES for our side.

You are a ineffectual "Fucking Democrat," while I and others choose to ADAPT and fight dirty to be effective "Fucking Democrats."
