e?

Yeah, can't help but feel that the roles are now reversed with this Palin baby story. Why not focus on Troopergate or her blatant lies about the Bridge to Nowhere? You know...stuff on her actual record.

1. Focus on her position on abortion
and denying it to victims of rape and incest. And what about equal pay for equal work? Or firing competent people and replacing them with political cronies?

2. Why not just follow their successful example and go after everything
throw it all at the wall and see what sticks. That's unfortunately how it's done in politics. If we don't do it, we are put at a distinct disadvantage. This election is the most important one our nation has faced in many decades. It's too important not to fight with every tool and means we have at or disposal.

8. ummm...wouldn't that undercut Obama's message of demanding a new kind of politics?

12. We are not Obama,
We all saw how well this worked in the month before the convention. McSlime questioned Obama honesty, scincerity, character, love of Country and Patriotism. He didn't even have surregates do his dirty work. So let Obama be true to the ideals, but while he does that someone has to do the dirty work.

15. So much for ideals.
Reducing yourself to ignorant baseless arguments does not help you or Obama or the nation. It is especially damaging to DU as it makes us all look a bit unhinged.

19. To me, most of them like undercutting Obama's views
which makes me wonder how on board they are. It gives me the feelings at times that they're working along to sabotage Obama's movement.

I thought we were working together. I respect people being worried and upset and anxious over what the GOP is up too but playing a game that can backfire on us is not worth it. We working to get Obama elected, he does his part we have to most of the work yet these people don't get that. ~sigh~

20. What makes us look unhinged is DUers like yourself
Attacking our side instead of the republicans:eyes:

I suggest you start learning about History. It would shock you to learn how many lesser ideals were sacrificed to ensure the more important ideals survive.

21. history?
You attack the gender of a candidate using tabloid "facts" made out of whole cloth and then argue that you are helping anyone?

You suggest a look at history: I would never reduce myself to Bush-like tactics. I am surprised you support Obama. He states that he is standing against everything you are arguing for. What, pray tell makes you different than that you hate? You have become them in your zeal to "win."

25. "attack the gender" you are guilty of reverse sexism on that one
If Palin was a man, you wouldn't be demanding there be a list of off limit topics.

Again you haven't a clue about history. I suggest you start with Abe Lincoln. Look at how he violated the constitution to ensure the survival of the Union. Then get back to me with your petty concerns, and tell me how they stack up to compared to what would happen to this country with a supreme court packed with right wing nuts. Tell me how your petty concerns stack up to a world wracked by global warming. Tell me how they stack up to the loss of a woman's right to choose. Tell me how your petty concerns stack up to the American and Iranian lives lost in a war McCain is sure to start.

You really need to get your priorities straigh.

7. I was not interested in the PUMA thing, so I just ignored the threads
I did not feel compelled to try and convince anyone of anything..People who wanted to argue participated, and those who did not, didn't.

For those of you who are against compiling widely disseminated PUBLIC information and photos, and then discussing them, you don't HAVE to do it....and those of us who are interested..well we don't have to pay attention to your scolding, or participate in verbal volleyball

It;s just the internets folks,,,,lighten up :)

6. A very intelligent man...
...running for president, having everything to lose...having an affair. THAT is an almost inconcievable story that turned out to be true. I think now that the baby IS his.

Irresponsible mothers who put their careers above the best interest of their children is a story that is as common as rain. Hiding the pregnancy of a young girl is also common and acceptable. The lying about it isn't acceptable.

Nobody made these things up or manufactured them out of thin air. Most of us never heard of Palin until she became VP pick. The pregnancy story CAME FROM HER.

No... just plain bigotry... Whereas the evidence in the Palin case is mounting.

23. No, a true Conspiracy Theorist has only two ways of responding to facts that contradict the theory
A. Expand the Conspiracy,

B. Shrink the Conspiracy.

They've chosen a path that took them down a rabbit hole, and from their position they can only go deeper or come a little closer to the surface; but they can never leave.

24. I agree. There is plenty of real substantiated dirt on this woman.
If the baby scandal is true it will surface eventually and McCain/Palin will be toast. Probably better to let it hang until later anyway -- then it will have more impact and there won't be time to replace her.
